Exceptional transportation with high precision through the narrow streets of Bettembourg
Wind energy project Südwand in Luxembourg
Luxembourg – like many European countries – is joining the energy transition from fossil sources to wind and solar. As part of those plans, a series of new wind turbines are being installed in the south of the Grand Duchy, as part of the Südwand Project. We at Daems Pilot Service took care of the exceptional transport of the rotor blades for the wind turbines and brought the rotor blades for all the wind turbines to site.
At 69.65 meters through the narrow streets of Bettembourg
Getting the giant rotor blades through the narrow streets of the Luxembourg’s Betttembourg but thanks to some punishing high-precision driving, however, all the blades arrived neatly at their destination. Exceptional transports measuring 69.65 m long, 3.8 m wide and 4.4 m high were a sight to behold in the streets and alleys, attracting many spectators despite the late hour.
